Web In Travel (WIT) Japan is an international conference that brings together the top leaders in the global and Japanese online travel industries.

WIT was founded in Singapore in 2005 as an international conference solely focused on the online travel industry. Now in its 8th year, what started out with only 160 attendees has grown to a scale of over 500 attendees for each conference, the largest of its kind in the Asian Pacific region. The conference has grown its international appeal in the industry, with participating leaders not only from Asian countries but also from the Americas and Africa, and is often referred to as the Davos Forum of online travel.

WIT Japan was first held in May 2012 with great fanfare. This is the second installment of WIT Japan, with "No More Walls" as its core theme. Japan is well known for its wide array of assets in hospitality - international hotels, convention facilities, traditional hot springs and inns - yet it is not thought to be openly accessible from overseas due to its language barriers and different business customs.

"No More Walls" - what can be done to overcome these obstacles? In addressing this question, the top minds in online travel will offer their perspectives on the latest technologies, marketing strategies, and industry trends.

On May 23 (the day before the main full-day session), various startups in online travel will convene at the “WIT Bootcamp Japan 2013.”
